Udupi (TOI): Udupi police have arrested three persons in connection with the murder of Varvadi Praveen Kulal, a rowdy-sheeter.
Police arrested Puttige Santosh and Latheesh on Monday while Mambettu Santosh was nabbed on Tuesday from Onthibettu. Praveen was murdered in a broad daylight outside a bar in Kotanakatte on Monday afternoon.
Superintendent of police K T Balakrishna said that "As Praveen had attacked Puttige Santhosh and Latheesh with a machet used to chop tender coconut before he died, both have been taking treatment at a government hospital at Ajjarkad. Hence, they were not produced before the court on Tuesday."
Police suspect the involvement of two others in the case and are searching for them.
