Two held with four kg ganja

Kasargod,:Two persons were found to be in possession of four kilograms of ganja and were arrested. The team was led by police circle inspector from the town, Abdul Raheem, and circle inspector of Vidyanagar station, Babu Peringoth. The arrested accused were Mustafa (28), resident of B M Manzil in Neerchalu, and Muhammed Junais (29) from Paika Kunhippara. The police said that another accused who was also a part of this team, had fled during the raid and that police teams are hunting for him.

On credible information that a huge quantity of ganja was being transported through the national highway, police personnel led by the two police circle inspectors acted swiftly. The police personnel said that since the last few months, ganja trafficking has picked momentum in the district and large quantity of ganja was being transported through vehicles.

They are hopeful of bringing the huge racket that is involved with drugs trafficking to book soon.
