Workshop on ‘News which matters’

Udupi (The Hindu): The district administration will organise a media workshop titled ‘News which matters’ at the District Offices Complex Hall at Rajatadri here at 10.30 a.m. on January 27.

An official press release issued here on Saturday said that Nagesh Hegde, senior journalist, B.S. Satish Kumar, Senior Assistant Editor, The Hindu , and Jyoti Irvattur, Senior Correspondent, Praja Television, would be resource persons at the media workshop.

Priyanka Maria Francis, Chief Executive Officer of the zilla panchayat, would inaugurate the media workshop.

Udupi district Deputy Commissioner R. Vishal will preside over the inaugural function.

K. Annamalai, Superintendent of Police, would be the chief guest at the inaugural function.

All government officials and students of journalism would be participating in the workshop, which will begin at 10.30 a.m. and conclude at 1.30 p.m., the release further stated.
