Facebook launches 3 new solutions to help small businesses

Published On : 09 Sep 2016

New Delhi,(IANS) Social media giant Facebook on Thursday launched three new solutions to help small businesses become large and local businesses become global.

Businesses can now use 'Lookalike Audiences' tool to reach customers in new countries who are similar to their existing ones, Facebook said in a statement.

"Any business which wants to increase installs of app, increase engagement in app or increase conversion on site can now target people worldwide or in a specific region," it added. Facebook will then deliver ads to selected regions and then optimise delivery to the countries with the greatest return.

To help businesses optimise global campaign strategy, Facebook is releasing new webinars and a handbook on international marketing techniques.

Businesses are already using Facebook to expand their business globally.

"More than 175 million people from around the world are connected to a business in India," Facebook noted.

Nearly 59 per cent of people on Facebook in the country are connected to at least one SMB (small and medium-sized business) in the country.

Also, 41 per cent of people on Facebook in the country are connected to at least one SMB in a foreign country.

In India, there are 155 million MAU (monthly active users), 77 million DAU (daily active users), 147 million Mobile MAU and 73 million Mobile DAU as of second quarter 2016.
