Hitachi holds “Social Innovation Forum 2015 in Bengaluru” with IT driving in Social Innovation

Bengaluru , August 18, 2015: Hitachi India Pvt. Ltd.(Hitachi India), a subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (TSE:6501) announced today that Hitachi Group will hold the “Social Innovation Forum 2015 in Bengaluru” in partnership with NDTV on August 19th, 2015. The forum will provide a platform with key industry experts and Indian authorities to discuss growing importance of integrating IT with infrastructure needs, and how to contribute and respond to issues in the IT sector. The event would be a mix of seminars and exhibition in which Hitachi Group will introduce its advanced solutions, products, services in the field of IT and Social Innovation Business.

Hitachi India will host the Forum in Bengaluru for the first time. Bengaluru is known as the "Silicon Valley of India" because of its role as the nation's leading IT exporter. The event will witness participation from Hitachi Data Systems, Hitachi Systems Micro Clinic, Hitachi Payment Services, the software group, Research and Development centre of Hitachi India and Hitachi Solutions showcasing diversified solutions and exploring partnerships with key stakeholders with an aim to make India Digitally Self Reliant through panel discussions involving industry experts.

Hitachi aims to increase its overseas ratio from 45% in FY2013 to over 50% in FY2015 under the company’s “2015 Mid-term Management Plan.” India is one of the key regions in its global growth, and the company aims to expand consolidated revenues in India to 210 billion yen in FY2015 by expanding the Social Innovation Business which combines products, services and highly sophisticated IT, and utilizes its experience and tailored solutions. IT domain of Hitachi in India includes a wide range of business such like flexible & scalable solutions to keep up with the growing data requirements, expertise service solutions in Cloud Services, payment services, GIS(Geographical Information System) solutions, business consulting solutions, offshore development business and so on.
