New Delhi, Nov 24 (IANS) The Delhi Metro's Pragati Maidan station recorded the highest ever footfalls at 1.3 lakh Sunday owing to the massive weekend rush at the India International Trade Fair (IITF).
A statement by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said the previous record was 1.27 lakh footfalls recorded Nov 24, 2013.
"The Pragati Maidan station has today broken its earlier highest record set at 1.27 lakh on 24.11.13...today by by 8 p.m., the station had reached 1.3 lakh (footfalls) approximately," said the statement.
On routine days the total entry and exit footfall at the station is 32,000 approximately, it added.
