30-year-old Chaiwala dies due to heart attack

Puttur: In a tragic incident, Ritesh (30), who used to supply tea and snacks at very cheap rates to numerous, shops and offices died of heart attack. Ritesh, who was originally from Periyadka of Adoor near Kasargod had come to Puttur city in his childhood. He used to work as an assistant to one of the tea vendors at that time. Subsequently, he opened his own shop and shot to fame as 'Chaiwala'.

He was living alone in a rented house near Chetana hospital. He used to supply tea and snacks to countless shops, business complexes, offices from Boluvaru to Darbe every day. Due to his home delivery service, he was popular with the public.

He was sick for two or three days and was taking rest in his rented house. When his sister called him on the night of February 19, he did not receive her call. His sister who panicked informed the matter to the owner of the house. When he checked, the door of Ritesh's house was closed. Ritesh was found to be sleeping. However, when checking closely it was confirmed that Ritesh had breathed his last.
