32-year-old arrested for selling ganja

Mangaluru: Personnel of Narcotic and Economic Offences police station arrested Shekhar alias Kyamu (32), resident of Toominadu, Manjeshwar on Monday and seized from him ganja worth Rs 7,000.

Shekhar was arrested from Tachchani in Talapady village. Ganja packed in 11 sachets weighing 433 grams, Rs 700 in cash, and a cellphone were confiscated from the accused. Shekhar reportedly confessed that 11 sachets of ganja were handed over to him by Asif from Toominadu for sale and that he had sold one sachet.

Narcotic and Economic Offences police station inspector, Muhammed Shariff, and staff took part in the operation.
