4 arrested in murder of ABVP worker in Kannur

Kasargod: The police have arrested four persons on Saturday in connection with the murder of Shyam Prasad (24), ABVP worker, yesterday.

Mohammed (20), Salim (26), Samir (25) and Hashim (39) are identified as the accused arrested. All the four are said to the member of Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI).

The youth was riding a two-wheeler when three-member assailants attacked him on the road near the Kommeri Goat Farm. The wounded youth fled the spot to escape the masked assailants and entered the compound of a nearby house. The chasing assailants caught him on the verandah of the house and hacked him with sharp weapons. He died while being taken to a hospital at Thalassery.
