4 more accused in police net in Kateel robbery case

Mangaluru: CCB Police have nabbed four more accused in connection with the robbery at the residence of Kateel priest Vasudev Asranna on October 4. The arrested have been identified as Bharath Shetty (30), a resident of Karkala, Mohammed Ali, (35) resident of Melkar, Purushottam (44) of Haleyangadi and Harish Gatti (41) of Ucchila.

The police had earlier nabbed five accused in connection with the dacoity case. The four arrested now have been absconding ever since the incident took place.
Police have recovered 455 grams jewelry, one revolver, one pistol, 9 bullets, five mobile phones, one machete and breach loading gun with three bullets from their possession.

The operation was carried out by DCP Shantharaju, Sanjeev M Patil, ACP Rajendra, Bajpe Police Inspector Nagaraj, CCB Inspector Sunil Nayak and other police personnel.
