50-year-old killed in road accident in Bhatkal

Bhatkal: One person was killed in a road accident after a lorry rammed into his bike near Shamsuddin Circle at Bhatkal on Thursday.. The deceased has been identified as Abdul Wadood Mani (50). He was a resident of Nawayath Colony in Bhatkal.

Abdul was on his way from Sagar Road after finishing work regarding Tableeqi Ijtema (Islamic congregation) to be held at Kumta on February 18. A lorry rammed into his bike while he was crossing Shamsuddin Circle. People rushed Abdul to Bhatkal District Government Hospital in an auto rickshaw. It is said that he breathed his last on the way to the hospital.

A case has been registered at Bhatkal town police station.
