Kasargod: Gangadhar (58), suspected of killing his wife at Karadka Mavungal Padikochi was found hanging from the branch of a tree near a liquor shop in Iriya, appearing to have committed suicide in the afternoon of Friday, May 6.
After reportedly killing his wife, he had come to the liquor shop on Thursday May 5 evening and returned after consuming liquor. His wife Lakshmi (52) was found to have been murdered with her neck slit the same evening. He was missing after the incident.
It is said that there were frequent quarrels between Lakshmi and Gangadhar, which may have led to this situation. Ambalathara police have registered a case.
