6 police teams launch manhunt for assailants murdering RSS worker

Published On : 07 Jul 2017   |  Reported By : Canaranews Network

Bantwal: Dakshina Kannada District Superintendent of Police Sudheer Kumar Reddy is camping in the Bantwal Town Police Station ever since RSS worker Sharath was stabbed at BC Road last week. He has said that six police teams have launched a manhunt to nab the assailants. So far 20 people have been questioned. No definite clue has been found so far.

The SP admitted that though the CCTV footages from the camera in front of the laundry where the incident took place, have been scrutinised, the images are vague and only reveals that the accused had arrived by motor bike and left the place after the attack.

Over 1000 personnel from neighbouring districts including Mysuru and Kodagu have been deployed in Bantwal. The SP even convened a meet at the station on Thursday and the same was attended by senior officials including in-charge Additional SP Vishnuvardhan, DySP Ravish and others.
