A Course on Spoken English Training inaugurated at St Philomena College Puttur

Puttur: Under the auspices of Planning Forum of Post Graduate Department of Economics, St Philomena College Puttur a course in Spoken English Training was inaugurated on January 4, 2017 in PG Seminar Hall.

 

The Director of VETA Centre, Moodbidri Mrs. Sulatha Prabhakar inaugurated the course and said, ‘India is a land of diversity. Different people speak different languages and English language serves as a link language in the country.’

The Chairperson of Centre for PG Studies and Research Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro in his presidential address said, ‘Learning is an art. It comes from interest and hard work. We have taken policies and culture from other countries. But we have failed in taking their language.’

The coordinator of the Department Prof. Dinakara Rao, VETA Counselor Ms. Prajwala Das, Convenor of Planning Forum Mr. Pradeep K S and Assistant Professor Ms. Mahitha Kumari M were present on this occasion.

Ms. Shobhitha and team with a prayer song invoked God to shower his choicest blessings. Assistant Professor Mrs. Sandhya H welcomed the gathering. Ms. Rakesh Naik K proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Pavithra P compered the programme.
