AICS interschool shuttle badminton tourney juniors held at Prestige International School

Mangaluru: AICS Interschool Shuttle Badminton Tournament Junior 2018-19 was held at Prestige International School.

Chief Guest Ashok Poovaiah former badminton champion inaugurated the formal function with a friendly match. He encouraged the participants and appreciated the dedication shown by the junior players.

The school chairman Hyder Ali, managing director Reshma Hyder and principal Feroza Fayaaz were present to encourage the players.

The tournament was an amalgamation of 32 schools from CBSE and ICSE schools participating to win the junior’s trophy. In the boys junior category, first place was won by Amrita vidyalayam School with Sharada Vidyalaya (Kodialbail) School as runner-up.

In the girls category, first place was won by Cambridge School (Kudupu) with Lourdes Central School as runner-up. The best player boy trophy was awarded to Satvik S Prabhu of Amrita Vidyalayam School and the best player girl trophy was awarded to Trivia C Veigas of Cambridge School (Kudupu).

All the teams displayed excellent sportsmanship and fairly contributed toward the success of the tournament.
