Abbanadka Friends Club holds 'Yuva Sapthaha - 2018'

Karkala: A week-long programme, 'Yuva Saptaha - 2018', was held by Abbanadka - Nandalike Sri Durgaparameshwari Friends Club (R) on the occasio of their 18th anniversary celebration.

First day's programme

Bola Uday Anchan, former president of Abbanadka Sarvajanika Sri Ganeshotsava Samiti, inaugurated the programme and wished all success to the week-long activities. A brochure containing information on health was released and the same was distributed to each and every household.

Second day's programme

Through the 'Save the birds Campaign', provision of providing water and grains to the birds was undertaken. Rajesh Kotian, president of Sri Durgaparameshwari Friends Club (R), Abbanadka - Nandalike initiated the programme.

Third day's programme

An art competition was held for the school students in the midst of the green enviroment near the friends club on 'Kadu Belesi - Nadu Ulisi', 'Namma Parisara - Swaccha Parisara' theme. Abbanadka Sandeep V Poojary, convener of Sri Durgaparameshwari Friends Club (R) Abbanadka - Nandalike initiated the competition

Fourth day's programme

'Mahila Sambrama' programme was organized for the women of the club. The programme was initiated by Sandhya Umesh Shetty, women organizing secretary of the club. Various competitions like sports and games, Rangoli etc were held for the women folk. Lalita Ravi Acharya welcomed the gathering. Leela Narayan Poojary rendered the vote of thanks. Mamata Prakash competed the programme.

Harini Sundar Poojary, Sulochana Rajesh Kotian, Padmashree Satish Poojary, Pushpa Shantaram Kulal, Arathi Kumari, Prema Shekar Poojary, Geetha Dinakar Kulal, Ashwini Prabhakar and Harinakshi Nandish Poojary were present.

Fifth day's programme

Quiz competition was held for the local school students. Abbanadka Hariprasad, convener of the programme, conducted the quiz competition. Beerottu Dinesh Poojary, former president of the club initiated the programme. Balakrishna Madivala, vice-president and Ananda Poojary Nandalike, former president of the club were present on the occasion.

Sixth day's programme

Various sports and games competitions were held for the local school children. This programme was initiated by Kasrabail Suresh Poojary, ex-president of the club.

Satish Poojary Abbanadka, Sunil Kulal Abbanadka, Suresh Poojary Abbanadka, Harish Poojary Golikatte and Prashant Poojary were present.

Seventh day's programme

The valedictory function of 'Yuva Sapthaha - 2018' and the family together of the members of the club was held in the auditorium of Abbanadka Friends Club. Speaking on the occasion, chief guest of the programme and ex-president of Belman JCI, Raviraj Shetty said that the tasks undertaken by Sri Durgaparameshwari Friends Club (R) being in the rural set up, supersedes the achievements done by any organization at the international level. This is really appreciable.

Vittal Moolya, founder president of the club and other members of the clubs were present.
