Agnesian Alumnae Association celebrates Women's Day, honours six achievers

Mangaluru: The Agnesian Alumnae Association celebrated International Women’s Day with pride on March 8 at St Agnes College Auditorium.

The Agnesian Scholar of the Year Award went to Athira Rajeendran who was introduced by Carol Pais Coelho. The award was instituted by Dr Meera Aranha.

Hancil Pinto was the recipient of the Agnesian Sportswoman Award, instituted by Daisy Menezes Coelho. She was introduced by Jane D'Souza.

Agnesian award in the field of NCC was awarded to Ashwitha. This award was sponsored by Usha Fernandes. Ashwitha was introduced by Sheryl Preethika.

Agnesian award in the field of NSS was awarded to Savitha. This award was sponsored by Saramma Jayaraj. Savitha was introduced by Jyothi Cutinha.

The awardees were presented sashes, momentoes, certificates and stocking flowers crafted by Nayana Ballal.
