Published On : 20 Nov 2016   |  Reported By : Canaranews Network

Udupi: For facilitating road development and repair works on Agumbe ghat road, traffic will be banned on this stretch of the highway for a month between December 1 and 31. Shivamogga district administration has asked vehicles to use alternative routes during this period.

Agumbe ghat road happens to be the most sought after route in view of considerable time and distance reduction during travel between this and Shivamogga districts.

Vehicles coming to Agumbe from Shivamogga via Thirthahalli will not face any problem. However, vehicles moving towards Karkala and Udupi from Thirthahalli will have to move on national highway 13 and take Koppa, Sringeri and Bajagoli route to reach their destinations. Likewise vehicles bound for Shivamogga from Udupi and Karkala can take national highway 13 as above and move via Sringeri and Koppa.
