All India Catholic Union Karnataka State Meet Hosted by Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh was held at Udupi Bishop’s house on 29.1.2019. It was inaugurated By Archbishop Rt Rev Dr Peter Machado. Spiritual director of Karnataka AICU Rev Fr Arul Selva , spiritual director of Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh Rev Fr Ferdinand, AICU National president Lancy D Cunha, deputy secretary general Clara Fernandes, secretary Flavy D Souza and office bearers of Catholic Sabha of Udupi and Mangalore, Catholic Associan office bearers of Mysore diocese, Shimoaga Diocese, Karvar and Belgam diocese, Belthangady diocese were present. Smt Veronica Cornelio was the guest of honor.

State president Mr. Assis Gonsalves welcomed the gathering. Udupi president welcomed the guests with bouquet of flowers and introduced the guests. National president gave the introductory remarks and invited all for the centenary convention of AICU at New Delhi in June. The secretaries of various diocesan associations briefed their activities. There was also discussion to to start new Lay associations in all the dioceses of Karnataka.

In the beginning homage was paid to our National leader George Fernandes. Arch Bishop recalled the contribution to the Nation and to the working class and poor of this society by George Fernandes.

State secretary Deepak D Silva proposed the vote of thanks. National Co-ordinator Dr Gerald Pinto compered the programme.
