Alva's to Celebrate the theme of progress on International Womens' day

As a part of the celebration of International Women’s Day, Alva’s Education Foundation- Moodbidri is hosting a one-day International Women’s Day Conference on March 12 at Alva's Institute of Engineering & Technology, Mijar. This is aimed at empowering women through the sphere of education, leadership development and social justice. The theme of the conference is “Press for Progress.”

This event will be a perfect platform where every participant can gather the skill-sets to face future challenges. The Conference will have renowned experts and will serve as a platform to identify promising pathways for inclusive growth and innovative partnerships to work on women empowerment.

The celebrations will be led by Dr Priya Ballal, MD, K Pandyaraja Ballal Institutions and HOD, OBG, KMC- Mangalore (on the topic ‘Her Body’). There will be other sessions by Dr Lavina Noronha, Founder Director, Ave Maria Palliative Care, Mangalore (on the topic ‘Her Mind), Ms Lakshmi Rao, CEO, Manjunath Tyresoles Treads Pvt Ltd., (on the topic ‘Her Enterprise’) and Ms Shilpa, Entrepreneur, Hallimane Rotties (on ‘Her Story’).

There will also be the launch of a blog, exclusively designed for Women’s Day Celebrations during the event. The valedictory programme will include felicitation and awards for winners of Poster Competition.
