Alvas win overall championship award in power lifting

Mangaluru: Alvas College Women's division team won first prize, and the men's team won the second, in the Karnataka state power lifting championships competitions held at Mangaluru Town hall under the aegis of Karnataka state power lifting association on June 10 and 11.

With their achievements, they won the overall championship in the event.

Bhavishya Poojary broke three state records in women's division. Marina Devi also achieved three new records and also received the individual strongest woman award in the tournaments.
