Alvs' Institute of engineering and technology orgamizes one - day workshop on nano fluid

A one day national workshop on "Nano Fluids: Applications for Heat Transfer and Energy Systems" was organized by the Mechanical Department of Alva’s Institute of Engineering and Technology, Mijar on September 28.

Assistant Director and Professor, Graduate School of Science and Technology, Kumamoto University, Japan, Dr Shuichi Torii inaugurated the workshop. He called upon young students to develop research attitude and scientific way of analysing things. He said MOU between Kumamoto University and Alva’s Institute of Engineering & Technology is a major step towards student-exchange programme and R&D related activities. He stressed on the need to know about various inventions happening in the field of Nano Fluids.

Speaking on the occasion, Alva’s Education Foundation Trustee Vivek Alva said the workshop will be useful for students, researchers and academicians as it will throw light on Nano Fluid and its application. Japanese technology will be a great boon for Indian students, he added.

Principal, AIET, Dr Peter Fernandes said it is a great milestone in the history of the institute that Kumamoto Universtiy, Japan and Alva’s Institute of Engineering & Technology have jointly collaborated to organise the workshop. He emphasised that the field of Nano Technology offered abundant scope for research and development.

Head of the Department Prof K V Suresh welcomed the dignitaries. Prof Yogesh Rao anchored the programme. Coordinator of the workshop, Dr Satyanarayana proposed vote of thanks.
