Annual Police Sports Meet inaugurated

Mangaluru: Deputy Commissioner Dr. K G Jagadeesha inaugurated the Annual Sports Meet of Mangaluru City Police Commissionerate and the DK District Police Department at the Police Grounds on January 9, Monday.

In his inaugural address, the Deputy Commissioner had a word of praise for the efficient functioning of the Police Department in the district. He also stated that the Department here has effectively faced the challenges before it.

"Participation in sports competitions would also help the police personnel to be physically fit while developing the spirit of sportsmanship in them," he added.

District Superintendent of Police Bhushan Gulabrao Borase and several senior officials were present.
