Annual Sports Meet of Milagres English School Kallianpur held with spirit and impression

Udupi: National level award winner Athlete and Gold medalist Mrs. Sandra D’Souza inaugurated two days annual sports meet of the prestigious most popular Milagres English Medium School, Kallianpur by releasing the balloons in the air near here on Tuesday, 15th November at Milagres College renovated huge ground.

The guests of the day were escorted to the ground with colorful school brass band and students begun the day with joy and excitement. The chief guest, Sandra D ’Souza received the impressive, well disciplined manner colorful march by the enthusiastic school children with rhythmic accompaniment of the school band. The school children presented themselves beautifully at the parade.
The dignitaries present were Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo, Correspondent of Milagres Educational Institutions, Sandra D’Souza around 70 award winner and gold medalist, Rev Fr. Prakash Anil Castelino Campus Director of Milagres College, Santhosh Kotian, Rocky Almeida and Vijayalakshmi vice presidents of PTA along with Rev Fr. Victor Fernandes Principal and Veera D’ Silva Headmistress of Milagres English School.

Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo hoisted the school flag and unfurled the flag with pride of the school. The sports torch “Krida Jyothi” brought by prestigious and national level proud athletes’ of Milagres English school which was received by Sandra D’Souza also an athlete. The sport torch brought by Akshatha participated in national level athletics, Nithesh Suvarna bagged Bronze medal in National level Table Tennis, Disha Acharya School SPL and also Runners up in State level Badminton and selected for national level, Abin Devadiga Awarded Drumist and bagged bronze in 100 mts race at National level, Coral Lobo National winner in Table Tennis and Sharayya.

The President of the programme, Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo declared the sports meet open. The athletes’ solemn promise to abide by the rules and regulations and to respect the judge’s decision, oath were taken by all the flag barriers.

Abin Devadiga and others were felicitated for their achievements in National level sports by the guests on the dais. Meanwhile, Sandra D’souza also was felicitated by the dignitaries of the dais.

In her address, Sandra D’Souza National level gold medalist and athlete said during her message that students should be more active in other curricular activities like sport for the overall development in the life. Life is very precious; students should take advantage in participate the sports of the school. He wished the students for better life in their career.

The Physical directors and teachers of Milagres Institutions were honored during the programme for their active participation of the annual school meet.

Very Rev Fr. Stany B Lobo gave his presidential address and wished the sport meet to be grand success. Veera D’silva Headmistress of Milagres English Primary School proposed vote of thanks. Prashanth teacher compered the programme with memorable impression.
