Puttur: A 10-day Combined Annual Training Camp for NCC Cadets will be organized by 19 Karnataka Bettalion from December 3 to 12, 2016 at St Philomena College Puttur. About 27 NCC officers and 400 cadets from Puttur and Sullia Taluk of Dakshina Kannada District and from Coorg District will participate.
Training would be imparted to the cadets on various subjects such as drill, March past, weapon use, map reading, compass use, physical fitness, yoga, rifle shooting and certificate examinations.
19 Karnataka Bettalion Col. Sanjay Dutta will participate as Commanding Officer. Col. Sanjay Apte will participate as Administrative Officer and NCC Officer of the College Lt. Johnson David Sequeira will participate as Camp Adjutant.

The Commanding Officer, 19 Karnataka Bettalion Col. Sanjay Dutta in his opening address said, ‘NCC has become instrumental in moulding the character and imparting dynamic outlook in our students during their school and college days. ’ He also instructed the cadets to make use of the time in an enjoyable manner.

Johnson David Sequeira, Subedar Major V Hariprasad, First Officer Chethan K J of Government High School Siddapura, Second Officer B S Kotale of Government Pre University College Napoklu, Second Officer A G Ganesh of Government High School Murnad, Second Officer Venkataramana of Sainik School Koodige, First Officer Peter Naresh Lobo of St Philomena High School Puttur, CCG Priya of Virajapet, NCC officers and cadets from Puttur and Sullia Taluk of Dakshina Kannada District and from Coorg District were present.
