Bengaluru: Former deputy superintendent of police (DySP) Anupama Shenoy has submitted a petition to Assembly Speaker K B Koliwad requesting him to direct the police to register an FIR against people who gifted expensive Hublot watch to chief minister Siddaramaiah.

The petition states that the state government has awarded two projects to a company, which is owned by NRI B R Shetty, by bypassing all rules. It also says that Dr Girish Chandra Varma who gifted the watch to the chief minister was working for that company.

Hublot watch issue was almost buried after Siddaramaiah gave it to the government making it as state property. Anupama Shenoy, who was in limelight for sometime after she resigned from her post last year, was keeping a low profile till now. There are rumours that she will join BJP now.
