'Asathoma Sadgamaya' Kannada film poster released in Mangaluru

MLA J R Lobo released the motion poster of upcoming Kannada film 'Asathoma Sadgamaya' directed by Rajesh Venur here at Sandesha Kala Kendra on Monday, January 1.

Addressing the gathering J R Lobo said, “Mangaluru is the only place where movies of all languages are released. Mangaluru’s locales have its own natural beauty for movie makers to shoot their films. 'Asathoma Sadgamaya' has a good theme and. Mangalureans know to make cost effective movies. I congratulate the entire team of the film and wish Mangaluru to become a ‘cinema town’ in near future.”

Former minister Amarnath Shetty said, “Ashwin J Pereira, who is quite experienced in theatre, wanted to produce a good film. Working along with a wonderful team, they have given an outstanding result for cine lovers to watch out for. Mangaluru should have its own studio in future.”

Former president of Tulu Sahitya Academy Umanath Kotian appreciated producer Ashwin Pereira and director Rajesh Venur and wished the entire of 'Asathoma Sadgamaya' the very best.

Kannada film ‘Ondu Motteya Kathe’ director Raj B Shetty said, “After Bengaluru, our city should be the next ‘film city’ in the state. Mangaluru has good talent, but we hesitate to compete against other language films. We have to make movies which can stand boldly against other movies. Director Rajesh Venur is experienced in making documentaries and short films. He has done a good job here which can inspire others to make such a bold attempt.”

Director Rajesh Venur said, “This film includes local talents and hence it is necessary to publicise it in Mangaluru. The concept of the film is related to the present generations’ mentality that intelligence quotient (IQ) Vs emotional quotient (EQ). Most of the scenes have been shot here in the coastal region. Wahab Salim has composed the music for five songs including one promotional song, Dinakar has written the dialogues and the film will be a complete family entertainer. We are preparing to release the film by February.”

Radhika Chethan, Laasya and Kiran Raj are playing the lead roles. Deepak Shetty and child artist Chitrali will be seen in pivotal roles.

Sandesha Kala Kendra director Fr Victor Vijay Lobo and Sandesha Kala Kendra assistant director Br Victor Crasta were present.

After the motion poster release, producer Ashwin J Pereira said, “Director Rajesh Venur approached me to produce the film. The concept of the movie is something really different than what we see in films nowadays. We decided that one part of the revenue generated from the film will be donated to a school in Moodbidiri.”

Child artist Chitrali said, “I am happy about my role in the film. The production team was very friendly on the sets. All have put their maximum efforts into the film. Now we are all eagerly awaiting the release of 'Asathoma Sadgamaya'.”

Actress Lasya said, “I liked the role offered to me as I have never seen such a character being played in any movies. I thoroughly enjoyed acting in the film. The lead pair in the film hails from Mandya who do not care about emotions and family values. It is all about knowing how to balance IQ and EQ.”

VJ Nitin compered the programme.
