Autos in Mangaluru go cashless

Mangaluru: In a programme organised by Kudla Souharda Sahakari near Nasik Bangera Bhavan in Police Lane, Paytm mobile wallet service was initiated in seven autorickshaws in the city on Tuesday to enable paperless cash transactions for passengers.

During an interaction programme, BJP Mangaluru South constituency president Vedavyas Kamath said that the mobile cash transactions will be beneficial to people at large as it is easy and convenient.

Kudla Sauharda Sahakari president Prakash V N said that the move is a significant step towards a digital India and helps better transactions along with solving the change problem. He further said that they are looking forward to enable GPS in autorickshaws and the association has sought permission from the authority concerned. Also, there are plans to open a call centre and provide call-based service to customers.
