Mangaluru: The Mangaluru South and North Assembly constituency units of the BJP staged a dharna in front of the RTO office on April 6 alleging that the city Mayor Kavitha Sanil has failed to supply water to the city despite sufficient water in the Thumbay vented dam.

They alleged that the mayor was adopting a dictatorial attitude by supplying water in accordance to her whims and fancies.

The protestors complained that residents of the city were subject to hardships and added that the ruling corporators and officials were issuing contradictory statements adding to the confusion.
