BWC organises talk on 'Marriage, Divorce laws', awards winners of competitions

Mangaluru: As part of the commemoration of the centenary celebration of Besant Primary School and International Women’s Day, the women's cell of Besant Women’s College, recently organized a valedictory function for ‘Multi-Skills Development Certificate Course’ and talk on ‘Marriage and Divorce Laws’.

Chief guest Asha Nayak, senior advocate Mangaluru gave away prizes to the winners of the various competitions conducted by the cell as well as certificates to the participants. She explained the significance of special marriage act and described various legal provisions for the marriage under different religions. She also delineated the different reasons for divorce and their consequences under legal domain with live examples.

Correspondent and guest of honour K Devananda Pai and principal Dr Sathish Kumar Shetty P wished the participants of the cell.
