Bajrangdal activist arrested for threatening Congress leaders

Mangaluru: A Bajrangdal activist, Praveen Shetty from Eedu, who reportedly threatened Moodbidri MLA K Abhayachandra Jain and District Youth Congress President Mithun Rai has been arrested by the police.

On Tuesday night the accused had contacted Valpady Gram Panchayat Vice President Arun Kumar Shetty over his mobile phone and threatened Jain and Rai and other Congress leaders if they visit the Eedu fair scheduled to be held on April 5. The Panchayat Vice President had lodged a complaint naming Eedu Sachin Shetty and three others as the accused.

The calls were made using three numbers and all the three numbers are now switched off.
