Bal Cordel organised by ICYM unit of Holy Cross Church

Mangaluru: Indian Catholic Youth Movement Cordel unit organized ‘Bal Cordel’ on November 19 at Frad Saib hall.

Syon Rolwin Tauro, Ashel Preema Tauro and Aden D’Souza bagged the first three places of the photogenic contest respectively.

Ethen Fernandes and Kenneth Shawn Lobo were the winners of ‘Bal Cordel’

The competition was held for children of 3 to 5 years of age group. The competition included three rounds. In the first round, the participants had to present themselves. In the second and third round, questions were asked to the participants. In total, there were 29 participants. The judges of this competition were Anil Monteiro and Janet Pinto.

The formal function was presided over by the parish priest of Holy Cross Church Fr Victor Machado, assistant director of Cordel ICYM unit Fr. Santhosh D’souza, assistant parish priest Fr Patrick Sequeira, vice-president Loy Noronha, secretary Satunine Monteiro, ICYM president Vinitha Rego and secretary Leera Lobo. Prizes were distributed to the winners by the dignitaries.

Various games were conducted for the children of the parish from 1st to 10th standard.
