Bank manager dies due to heart-related ailments

Udupi: In a tragic incident, a bank manager died after he suddenly collapsed on Sunday. The deceased is Ganesh Kotian (52) from Pitrodi. Ganesh was suffering from certain heart-related ailments. When climbing the steps to his home at Melpete at around 2.30 pm on Sunday, he fell down and became unconscious.

Immediately he was taken to a hospital in the city. However, he failed to respond to treatment and passed away in the evening. Kotian was working as manager of Moodubelle branch of Udupi Taluk Industrial Cooperative Society Ltd.

He is survived by wife and two daughters. He is son of popular Congress leader. A case of unnatural death in this respect was registered in Kaup police station.
