Banking division of Fish Marketing Federation opens at Malpe

Malpe: The Malpe branch of the banking division of the DK, Udupi District Co-operative Fish Marketing Federation was inaugurated on January 24 at the Malpe Fisheries Port by former Udupi MLA K Raghupathi Bhat.

Speaking on the occasion, Bhat said the banking division of the Federation has proved to be a great boon to fishermen. Dr Rajendra Kumar, Chairman of SCDCC Bank released the deposit certificates. Fishing entrepreneur Ananda P Kunder and ZP Chief Dinaker Babu inaugurated the Strong Room and e-Stamping facility.

Yashpal Suvarna, President of the Federation, presided over the function. MLC Kota Srinivas Poojary, Malpe Fishermen’s Association President H T Kidiyoor, Divisional Retail Sales Manager Abdul Malik, Fisheries Deputy Director Mahesh Kumar, Joint Director Ganapathi Bhat and others were present.

Various facilities on behalf of the Federation were distributed to beneficiaries. Four outstanding achievers were also honoured.
