Belthangady circle inspector Nemiraj suspended for taking bribe

Beltangady: Dakshina Kannada district superintend of police, Bhushan Gulabrao Borase has suspended Belthangady circle inspector Nemiraj till further notice.

Acting on the report submitted by additional SP Dr C B Vedamurthy regarding a bribery involving Nemiraj, SP ordered the suspension on Friday, October 14.

It is alleged that Nemiraj had demanded Rs 20,000 bribe to write a ‘B’ report of a case registered under IT act. The demand was recorded in phone and was submitted to additional SP by complainant Dhanakirthi Ariga with some other supporting documents.

It is said that there were also other complaints against Nemiraj . More details awaited.
