Mangaluru: On Thursday, October 27, 46 senior citizens of Bendur parish, started their journey in the morning, towards Gurpur Kaikamba for a green retreat spot.

After group prayer and hymns through the journey, they reached the spot, to a good breakfast.

The day's programme started with plenty of fun and games, alongside perfect relaxation for some, amid serene surrounding. Snacks and drinks were regularly proffered while everyone present had a good time with a repertoire of singing, dancing and sharing of uproarious jokes. The day's merrymaking included playing the legendary housie, Queen of Sheeba and other group games.

The morning session of revelry concluded with a sumptuous lunch. Fr Roshan D'Cunha, assistant parish priest of Bendur church, blessed the meals and joined the jolly gathering for a short while. After a short siesta, the delightful day came to an end with a short session of merrymaking, and evening snack and tea.

The core committee members of Bendur Senior Citizens, with the able leadership and organising skills of president Simon Pinto, gladly evidenced their plans come to fruition, and await another episode of fun.
