Udupi: In connection with ‘SAMSMARAN DIN’, the founder’s memorial day the NSS and Youth Red Cross units of the college jointly organized a blood donation camp in association with KMC, Manipal and Mogaveera Sangha,Brahmavar and collected 63 units of blood.
An eye checkup camp in association with Prasad Nethralaya, Udupi was also organized on Wednesday, 24th January, 2018.Dr.C.T Abraham, the founder of the institution ‘s vision was to help the needy and the college has been organizing a series of programmes like ‘A handful of rice with love’, where all the Crossland family members contribute a handful of rice and 1.1 qntls of rice collected were earlier handed over to Spandana,a home for the differently abled. Another project initiated this year is the ‘Wall of Charity”.
A room is provided for people to keep old but usable items and those who need can take it for use without being watched by anyone. Mr.Girish Rao,NSS Programme Officer and Mrs.Jyothi,Youth Red cross officer coordinated the programme.
