Brother granted bail for murder of elder brother

Kundapur: The additional district and sessions court has granted conditional bail to the two younger brothers of the deceased. Their elder brother, who used to come home fully drunk and kick up a fight routinely, was killed and his mortal remains were burnt down . The person who was killed in this incident was Muttayya Naik (35) from Kambalagadde in Golihole village, while his brothers Durga Naik (31) and Raghavendra Naik (28), who were in the judicial custody, got bail.

Muttayya used to come home fully drunk evey night and fought with the family members. The two younger brothers were thereafter accused of tying up their elder brother and killing Muttayya by tightening a rope around his neck on April 26, 2018. It was said that in order to project this death as suicide, they had burnt down the body of their elder brother in a thicket near their home at 7.30 pm the same day.

A case in this connection had been registered in Byndoor police station. Advocate from here, Ravikiran Murdeshwar, had represented the accused in the court.
