Bus falls into drain; no casuality

Udupi: A bus fell into the roadside drain after colliding with a car at Kinnimulki, on Friday, November 18. Passengers escaped with minor injuries. Excessive speed of the car and negligence of the bus driver were said to be the cause of the accident.

The city bus was heading to Udupi from Manchakal. As it took a sudden right turn near the curve on the national highway, the car on the highway hit it. The car was speeding in the middle of the highway. The driver of the car got confused and instead of driving straight, he turned the vehicle to the right and hit the bus.

Out of about 20 passengers in the bus, three passengers escaped with minor injuries. The car driver has bruises on the face.
