Canara Engineering College hosts STEP for IEEE students

Mangaluru: Canara IEEE student branch on Monday, October 9, organised a Student Elevation and Transition Partnership programme by the Young Professionals Affinity group - IEEE Bengaluru, at Canara Engineering College campus.

The programme was open to all prefinal and final BE graduates.

Shishir Bhat, head, international sales at Hacker Earth delivered the inaugural address on 'The winning formula to success at career front - getting a job of your dreams and retaining it'.

Chair YP Bengaluru and co-founder of Glucotec Inc, Dr Abhishek Appaji M, spoke on the most needed employability skills – getting an edge over peers, Atul Kudva, director Omnesys gave a lecture on choosing a career and making the right decisions.

M Padmanabha Pai, CEC correspondent, a leading business man, expressed his experience on 'building a career' and 'customer base on value based practices'.

A panel discussion by Anil Hegde, Vimal Structural Consultants, Dr Ashwini M, YP member, Jatin Nayak, E cell chair – NITK, Ankita KS, technology editor, EFY Group and chair of E Cell NITK and IEEE SB NITK were also present during this event.

Over 130 students from various technical institutes attended the programme. Dr Ganesh V Bhat, principal, Ashwini V R, branch councilor, Shaila Prabhu, president, Mahathi Kamath, vice president, WIE IEEE student branch, IEEE SB Hrishikesh Bhandarkar, chair IEEE, Keerthan D S vice chair IEEE, were present.
