Mangaluru: Carmel School held its annual general body meeting for the primary section at the school auditorium in the morning and for the secondary section later in the day.

PTA general body meetings are occasions for participation and communication. On this special occasion parents and teachers felt the need to commit themselves to the service of education for this noble endeavour with the blessings of the Lord Almighty. Blessings were sought followed by a prayer dance led by the students of classes III and IV in the morning and the students of classes VI, VII and IX in the afternoon which spread spiritual vibes creating a state of trance with their magnetic performance.

Ashwitha Bangera and Liffin Saldanha extended a genial welcome to Sr Maria Kripa joint secretary of St Ann’s Campus Institutions and Superior of St Ann’s Convent and Lugina Miranda the keynote speaker for the morning session and Mariella D'Souza the keynote speaker for the afternoon session with their words of welcome.

Nisha and Cynthia introduced the resource persons to the gathering. Resource person of the morning Lugina Miranda (course coordinator for postgraduate diploma in Guidance and Counseling, St Agnes Centre) shared her thoughts on Positive Parenting – Parental Skills in everyday life.
