Chartered accountant dies in accident

Moodbidri: Prakash Hegde (62), a native of Karkala and well-known chartered accountant (CA) died on the spot at an accident that occurred between a car and private tourist bus at Handel Prakash Hegde went to Mangaluru with his family on Thursday, to attend the marriage of one of their relative. When he was returning to Karkal on Friday, the unfortunate incident took place. The bus which had the tourists from Kolar was plying from Dharmasthala to Kateel.

The spot where the accident took place is known as accident zone as there is a steep bend and also the road gets bifurcated at that spot. He was a resident of Old Electric Lane near Venkataramana Temple in Karkala He had started a chartered accountant service organization by the name Prakash Hegde Associates in 1985 and was the leading auditor in the area, .

Prakash is survived by his wife Dr Asha Hegde, a paediatrician and two daughters. His eldest daughter is working as an engineer in Belgium and younger daughter is pursuing her engineering studies.
