Classical music programme enthrals listeners at Expert PU College Valachil

Mangaluru,: Expert PU College at Valachil held Hindustani classical music programme at the college's cultural auditorium titled 'Swara Raga Sudha' recently. Famous classical singer Pandith Jayatheertha Mevundi enthralled the audience with his various melodious numbers.

Bhajans like 'Thumaka Thumaka Paga Kumakakanjamiga Chapala Harana Hari' sung in Janapada style were attractive. Hymns of holy men 'Innu Daya Barade Ninna Dasana Mele', 'Bajere Murali Aa Bajo', 'Mile Sur Mera Tumara' and other songs entertained the students.

Professor Narendra L Nayak played harmonium, Pangala Dinesh Shenoy accompanied with Tabla and Ramanath Kini guiding the rhythm. Students Shivani Bhat and Himaganga played Tanpura.

Usha Prabha N Nayak, vice-president of Expert Group of Institutions, trustee Ustad Rafik Khan, information technology director Ankush N Nayak and principal Dr N K Vijayan were present.
