Coast Guard West Region IG reviews Coast Guard Operations in Mangaluru

Mangaluru: Inspector General VS Pathania, the Commander, Coast Guard Region (West) visited Mangaluru on Tuesday, 22nd November 2016 to review the Indian Coast Guard operations and infrastructure development in the State.

During the visit the Flag Officer interacted with Coast Guard Officers and men. He also visited various units and appreciated the hard work being put in by one and all for maintaining the safety, security and pristine environment of the Karnataka Coast as well as sea areas around the State. His presence brought a wave of motivation and enthusiasm amongst the Coast Guard personnel.

"It will be my endeavour that the Indian Coast Guard protects the people of Karnataka who are venturing into sea for fishing. The coordinated efforts of the Coast Guard as well as other stake holders like Coastal Security Police, Customs, Port Authorities, related industries etc will provide conducive environment for flourishing State’s Maritime Sector", said VS Pathania during interaction with men.
