Codialbail Press goes digital, new machines inaugurated

Mangaluru: The famous Codialbail Press got digital with the inclusion of three modern machines to the printing block. Fr Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, bishop of Mangaluru diocese blessed and inaugurated the machines at Codialbail Press here on Tuesday, July 4.

In his presidential address, the bishop congratulated Fr Ronald D’Souza, director and Fr Nilesh Donald D'Souza, assistant director of Codialbail Press for their efforts towards the digitalisation of the press with the new machines. He urged the gathering to support the press in business level also. He appreciated the hard work and commitment of staff who work at the press.

Nagraj, general manager, Catholic Syrian Bank said, "It is the pleasure of CSB to help the Cordialbail Press which started in the pre-independence era unlike Catholic Syrian Bank." He wished all the success to the press.

George Mathew, managing director of Insight, congratulated the press on its new venture. Pratap explained the functioning of the new machinery.

The bishop inaugurated Komori Enthone 4 Colour E429 by cutting the ribbon and started the print by pressing the button. Nagraj G M of Catholic Syrian Bank inaugurated Kodak Trensetter CTP and Fr Richard Coelho, director, Father Muller Hospital, inaugurated Xerox Colour Digital.

Fr Valerian Fernandes, editor, Rakno weekly, presented the short history of Codialbail Press.

Fr Ronald honored the dignitaries, the former directors of Codiabail Press and all those responsible for the digitalisation of the press. Fr Andrew D’Souza, parish priest, St Lawrence Church, Bondel was also present.

Earlier, Fr Nilesh welcomed the gathering. Arun Ullal compered the programme and Ronald Pinto proposed the vote of thanks.
