St Agnes College (Autonomous) Mangalore, celebrated the College Day of the academic year 2022-2023 in the Mother Mary Aloysia Centenary Auditorium on Friday, 28 April 2023. Rev. Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho Director, Father Muller Charitable Institutions, Mangalore, was the chief guest for the event. Dr Lydia A.C., Joint Secretary, St Agnes Institutions and Superior of St Agnes Convent presided over the function. Dr Giridhar Rao M.S., Joint Director of Collegiate Education, Mangaluru was one of the dignitaries on the stage. The Principal Sr Dr Venissa A. C. presented the annual report showcasing the laurels and academic performances, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities of the students and of the faculty during the academic year 2022-2023, in the presence of the dignitaries, guests, members of the faculty, parents, students and stakeholders.

Mrs Marina Pinto, HOD Department of Physics delivered the welcome address.

The Chief Guest, in his speech, appreciated the student friendly atmosphere of St Agnes College and the warmth with which the college embraces students from diverse backgrounds. He urged students to have a passion for learning, and to strive for excellence and to plant goodness wherever they went. Doing goodness to others, he said, will purify one's own heart.

In her Presidential address, Sr Dr Lydia A.C. advised the students to avail of the great number opportunities that are offered at St Agnes College, and to make them real by never letting them go unutilised. The motto of the College "God is our Strength" would help them grow and be of service to society.

Among the dignitaries present were, Sr Carmel Rita A.C., the administrator, Sr Dr Vinora A.C., the PG Coordinator, Sr M Clara A.C., the Vice Principal, Dr Nancy Vaz, the Registrar, and Mrs Ujwala, PTA Vice President,,.

The Principal's Role of Honour, Special prizes, Scholarships and Certificates of Merit were presented to the students of the college in recognition of their exemplary performances in various academic, co-curricular and extra-curricular programmes. Staff Achiever Mrs Vasudha, International medal winner in Hammer Throw and Shot Putt; and Student Achievers Shivani Monteiro, All India third rank awardee in Financial Management ACCA paper exam held in December 2022, and Alisha Saldanha, All India First rank awardee in Financial Accounting ACCA paper exam held in 2023, were felicitated during the event.

A spectacular cultural programme presented by the college students and the theatre groups included a musical orchestra, a Kannada Tableau "Digvijaya" an English play, "Sherlock Holmes and the Case of Mary Smith," group song and fusion dances.

Mrs Vidya Saraswathi, HOD, Department of Mathematics, proposed the Vote of Thanks. The programme ended with the College Anthem.
