Confraternity Sunday Celebrated at Valencia Church

As a preparation for the annual parish feast of Valencia Church, the Confraternity Sunday (Compricho Aithar) was celebrated on 19 January 2020.

All the parishioners got together in huge numbers on this blessed day. The Eucharistic Celebration began at 4pm where Rev. Fr Joseph Lobo, the parish priest of Our Lady of Miracles church Milagres was the Main Celebrant. As the year 2020 is declared as the year for respect to human life, Fr Joseph lobo in his preaching invited the faithful to respect humam life in our day-to-day life.

The co-celebrants were Fr James D’Souza, Fr Joswin D’Souza, Fr Arun Lobo.

After the mass, the Holy Eucharist adorned in a golden coloured monstrance and mounted on a decorated vehicle was taken in procession from Valencia church to Holy Rosary Convent Jeppu. Brass band played devotional hymns which uplifted the beauty of the procession. The special attraction of the procession was the use of eco-friendly placards in the procession in order to promote plastic free environment.

After the procession , the parishioners assembled at the Holy Rosary Convent to participate in the Benediction that was again led by Fr Joseph Lobo.

The entire proceeding of the Confraternity Sunday displayed immense faith of the parishioners.
