Confraternity Sunday (Compre Fest) celebrated at Holy Rosary Church, Kundapur on account of Preparation to annual feast

Kundapur, November 28: The Eucharistic worship with a motto “Unity in community is the divinity of Eucharistic” which is held as the preliminary preparation of the festival was held on Sunday at the church dedicated to “Holy Rosary” of Kundapur which is having a history of about 446 years.

 

Initially, the holy mass was conducted in the church. Holy Eucharistic procession was then conducted by large number of devotees and sisters with the lighted candles in their hands and with devotional songs, music, band, decorated umbrella and electric lights and went through the main streets of Kundapur with devotion and discipline. 

The Holy Eucharistic worship in Kannada was conducted at the grounds of St.Mary’s Educational Institution. Parish Priest, Rev.Fr, Chethan-The Editor of “Ujwad” newspaper performed this religious ritual. He said, “Today, on one side of the world food is being wasted and in another side people are dying without food. So, Jesus has told us to share what we have with others. Being the followers of Christ, we should follow his directions. We should show mercy and love to all and should forgive others”.

The Parish Priest of Kundapur Holy Rosary Church – Rev. Fr. Anil D’Souza was present in this religious ritual and thanked all. The Asst. Parish Priest – Rev. Fr. Gerald Sandeep D’mello and the Principal of St. Mary’s Junion College – Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Praveen Amruth Martis, Sisters, Vice president of church committee, Secretary, members and thousands of devotees participated in this occasion.
