Crossland Youth Red Cross unit inaugurated

Brahmavar: The activities of the Youth Red Cross Unit of the college was inaugurated on 7th August 2018. Dr. Umesh Prabhu, Chairman, Indian Red Cross Society, Udupi District, inaugurated the activities by lighting the lamp and stressed the need for voluntary blood donation.

Speaking on the occasion, he encouraged the YRC volunteers to engage in activities like blood donation, first aid and disaster management to extend the service to the needy. He spoke on the principles of Red Cross such as Humanity, Independence, Unity, and Service which the youth of today have to inculcate and serve for the good of mankind.

Mr. Jayaram Acharya, the Chairman of the Youth Red Cross, Udupi District led the students in taking the pledge to uphold the dignity of mankind and extend the service to the needy. Prof. Samuel K. Samuel, Principal of the college, Mrs. Jyothi, Co-coordinator of the Youth Red Cross unit of the college, Suraj Shetty, YRC Unit Chairman, Santhosh, Vice-Chairman, Rohith-Secretary and Amrutha,Jt.Secretary were present at the meeting.

 

Toppers felicitated

The toppers in the April-May, University examinations were felicitated by the Principal. The Principal complimented the efforts of the top scorers and presented them mementos.
