Crossland celebrates its thirty fifth annual college day

The 35th Annual day of Crossland College was celebrated on 15th February 2019. Prof..C..Rajashekha Hebbar, Principal of Government First Grade College, Mangaluru was the chief guest for the occasion. Prof. Rajashekhar Hebbar in his address explained three qualities that are very essential for a good teacher. He told a teacher must love his/ her profession.

He should love books and finally a teacher must treat his students’ as his own children. He appreciated the way how the college welcomed him in a traditional way and told that he is going to adopt it. He explained how man has two births, one the biological birth given by the mother and the second birth is intellectual one given by a teacher. During intellectual birth a child learns the necessary skills of life through his teachers. He advised the students to love their parents and never do anything that would hurt them. 

The Principal presented the annual report.Mr.Sandeepa,Chairman,Students Council welcomed the gathering and Leader Mr.Nithin proposed the vote of thanks.Ms.Hamsaveni S.K. and Mr.Aravind Naik C.A. who secured the first and fourth rank respectively in the Mangalore University BA degree examination, May 2018 were felicitated along with Mr.Manikanta and Mr. Sandeep S, II B Com students for scoring 100% marks in Cost and Management Accounting and Business Taxation respectively.Mr.Pradyumna Holla ,who set a new record and bagged the gold in the inter collegiate powerlifting completion was also honoured.

Ms.Pooja S,III B.A was awarded the Mrs.Mamatha Best Crosslander Award of the year.Dr.Roy Philip and Mr. Varghese Daniel, Correspondents were present. A documentary on the college prepared by the final year students was released by the Chief Guest.
